DESIGN IDEA – And I know I’m not the only one – but I will freely admit to never knowing how much pasta consitutes one serving let alone portion sizes for a group of people. And no, I don’t have one of those one-off, never find it when you need it pasta portion size measuring tools. But I do have the box.

So I was thinking the other day – why not have the portion sizes right on the box? Open the box, pull out some spagetti, flip over the box and see if what in your hand comes close to the circles marked on the box. Volia. Indecission, over.

In addition to having the portion sized marked – I’d suggest also having raised ink for the circle rings, or better yet, have the printers create indentations in the box as to make the process even more user friendly.

Design Mock-up:

Close up of the Package Design for a Pasta Box

Copyright – this may have been created before – if so, I’ve never seen it. If any manufacture or the like sees this and thinks it would be a great addition to their box – speak to me first!

Well here we go again another company hoping to reinvent the quick checkout payment concept.

I’ll speak about the problems with the fob payment system at a later date. But I do want to quickly comment on the VISA logo fail. For a purchasing system I wish they could have spent more time and money on their brand identity. The use of the wave is logical – but it fails to make it a recognizable symbol. Instead it will be an ambiguous symbol that will be confused for other wireless devices.
